spam

I'm doing an experiment.

I'm letting my spam folder in my gmail account just........fill up.  Some time ago, my email address got spammed.  Every morning, there would be like 300 emails in there, mostly using a mixture of wing-dings and chinese letters in the subject line, so nothing really important. 

So I've been faithfully emptying my spam folder each day....until now.

I'm up to 1,352. 

They seem to have slowed down since I quit emptying.  My question is....is there a limit to my spam folder?  Gmail is known to have "endless storage"...does it apply to my spam?
