Yeah for a long weekend!
Matt and I woke up early (wait, I should say I woke up early) because we were so excited about enjoying the first of two Saturdays. I went walking (Matt running) because it was like 65 degrees outside and just beautiful! We then went to the pool to enjoy some quiet sun time. Correct that...we went to the Ballwin pool which might as well be the "Ballwin Six Flags" waterpark. There wasn't so much *quiet sun-time* but there was time in the sun...and we enjoyed it for sure! I was being smart and wearing sunscreen and such..only 15 spf....and effectively blocked ALL evidence that I spent the day in the sun. Remind me when I'm 50 that I'm glad I wore sunscreen in my *youth*. Thanks.
That evening, Matt was able to go to the baseball game with some other guys and enjoy it with the finest of accommodations. There was delicious food - WAY better that just your typical "ball-park" food....and they were RIGHT behind home plate. Literally. Because I had the camera, there are no pictures to document this event, but I know they all had a wonderful time!
Since Matt was at the baseball game....he missed the family celebrating the 4th at his parent's house. I forgot to take more pictures...but I did take these just to let Matt see what he missed.
(Matt's absolute favorite. We all ate in moderation, Matt would've finished them all himself.)
(these are also berries...not the FAV, but Matt still would eat them all himself)
While I do not *love* fireworks, it is fun to spend a holiday with family. I missed having Matt with me, call me selfish! Love you Matt!
