ten pounds of blackberries

We went blackberry picking last week. We had to enjoy the gorgeous weather.

This guy was thrilled.

Graham. Words on this blog can't begin to describe how he was berry picking. He loves blackberries. LOVES them.

This picture pretty much sums up what he did the whole time we were there. He ate berries as fast as he could for like 45 minutes straight. Then he just swung big branches around while we filled the buckets. And ate more berries. Whenever I'd ask him to pick some berries for my bucket, this was his response, "Wits ok, Momma. They taste good to eat." I'm not kidding when I say that he only contributed like 8 berries to his bucket. Matt had to finish filling it.

Aren't they pretty? Best blackberries I've tasted in a long time.

Jackson did great. We got a little hot considering we were body to body... but he thought brother was super funny to watch.

We picked three of these bad boys. Three buckets = 10 pounds. That's a lot of berries.

Aren't these beautiful? I can smell them...

This was when they came in from the orchard. G's head was completely sweat covered. You think he had fun?

More to come on the blackberries....
