Why did grandmothers insist on "tucking us in" when we were younger? I remember being so nervous when my nana would come in and tightly tuck the covers under the edge of the mattress as she kissed me goodnight.
It's sort of like being buried alive.
I usually sleep with my feet hanging out of the bottom of the covers. Is this my little way of rebelling "the tuck?"
Do you like being "tucked in?"

I do NOT like being tucked in. At all. I like to be able to swing my leg out the side, and feel free enough that I could escape quickly if needed! Most nights I can be found on my stomach with my feet hooked over the end of the bed : )
I do not like being 'tucked in'. I also remember being tucked in way too tight and as soon as my parents would leave the room I would un tuck myself. I just like saying 'night night'. Oh yes, a hug, kiss and some nightime prayers are also good.
See "pup tent" post for my thoughts on the matter.
