rocking and smacking

More new tricks.  And man are they cute!  Graham has perfected the shake, as in shaking rattles.  His little buddies have been doing it for what feels like months but he never knew what to do with them.  So the other day we realized that he was shaking his arms up and down and also banging two toys together.  I know it's small, but super fun to see him enjoying his toys in a new way.

Lip smacking is also a new thing for him.  I noticed Sunday that he was looking at me, smacking, and lifting his arms (as in "pick me up please").  When I picked him up he kept doing it and just looking at me and grabbing for my face, hair etc.  He was hungry and trying to tell me!  He's not on any strict schedule, so I wait for his cues to eat and this is his latest cue.  It has been fun to see him do it all day yesterday and this morning now that he knows I understand him!

Mobility.  It's almost here.  On Sunday we saw him getting up on his hands and feet.  Then last night Matt and I watched him go from hands and feet to hands and knees.  He's not quite sure what to do from there....with his hands and such...to get to whatever toy  that is in front of him.  And today, like right this minute, I'm watching him reach from his sitting position and trying to figure out how to get his knees in position.  He just sits there and rocks.  On both hands, one foot, and one knee.  I know this is completely normal and every baby does this.  But this is my baby, so it's awesome!  I predict that crawling happens this week.

Maybe teeth too...who knows....
