Sugar Cookies

My mom came down to make some sugar cookies and Christmas treats in early December. I'm still playing blog catch up here.

This was G's first time using cookie cutters for real food and not play-doh. He was thrilled.

So thrilled in fact that it's like the kid grew 13 extra limbs. I could barely get the dough and flour out for him to roll. He was reaching and grabbing and snatching from every direction.
And every time I turned my head I heard "mmmm, nummy!" from his direction. He ate more dough than cookies.

He was beside himself with the sprinkles. A little confused about how they were worked though. He wanted to sort of brush them off the cookies.
Which obviously turned into smashing.

They were definitely worth the wait.

the mind of a toddler...

Buzz and Woody going for a drive.
Noah and his wife taking the sports car for a spin.
A random row of "zooka men" as G calls them.

We find these things "set up" all over the house. And whatever you do... do not touch them.

Sweet big brother.

Thanksgiving

So I'm a little behind on the ol' blog. Remember that holiday we celebrated over a month ago? The one with all the turkey? I know it's practically 2011 but I'm a little anal about keeping things in chronological order.

Anyway....

We celebrated with TWO full meals. So delicious that I begged for the left over turkey to recreate it the next day.

I love Thanksgiving.

All of the pictures from my family are on my mom's camera....

But we did get this awesome one with the Steels. I mean, everyone is looking at the camera, all eyes open, and all smiling. A Thanksgiving miracle!

Well ok, G's not looking at the camera, but he is smiling.

Little Graham

Someone has done some serious growing up recently. Not growing taller by any means. He's still our tiny-might. No, Graham is practically an adult.

Doesn't this look like the face of a child who can convince you to give him M&Ms in the middle of the day?
Or to make pancakes with extra chocolate chips?
He is a major funny man. We have to hide our faces all the time to keep him from seeing us laugh when we're supposed to be correcting him.
He is so precious.
There isn't anything he won't say. He has more opinions than my grandmother. And he won't eat anything but yogurt, goldfish, and fruit leathers. I love my toddler.

Two Babies

Graham loves to do what Jackson is doing. If I'm changing J's diaper, he'll ask for "two babies on the bed"... and so on...

I was trying to take some pictures of J and naturally G wanted in. He's such a ham. Two year olds are so fun.
I propped Jackson up and thought he looked so funny sitting on the bed by himself. It didn't last long. Mr. "two babies" wanted up too.But he wouldn't sit still.... so I threatened him... which led to tears.
J looks totally unaware of the drama.

Sweet little Jackson.

I love my two babies.
